Job well done, and the Basenotes awards certainly provide an interesting window into the psyche of the consumer public.

My mother wore Tabu . . . didn't know people still purchased it. I read a recent MUA review of Mauboussin which described it as "Tabu swirled around in a dirty ashtray," the first reference I've seen to Tabu in almost decades. The mere thought of my mother's old Tabu makes me slightly nasesous . . . odd for someone who unabashedly indulges in excessively sweet (though rarely fruty) scents.

Again, an interesting if somewhat limited window into the consumer consciousness.

Thanks for this blog. It is a great place to take one's nose and wander in lazy moments.
