Anna Sui Dolly Girl Lil' Starlet perfume Anna Sui has launched her yearly limited edition of Dolly Girl, Dolly Girl Lil' Starlet:

Be a lil' starlet with this gorgeous fragrance from Anna Sui. Top notes of marine accord, pink grapefruit, lemon and mandarin; middle notes of Madonna lily, pear and peony; bottom notes of sandalwood, amber and musk.

Anna Sui Dolly Girl Lil' Starlet is available in 50 ml Eau de Toilette. (via debenhams)

Miss Sixty Summer Collection perfume 2008 Miss Sixty will launch their summer limited edition, Miss Sixty Summer Collection 2008, next month.

Miss Sixty Summer Collection is a "carefree and merry" variation on 2005's Miss Sixty fragrance, and includes notes of raspberry, passion fruit, lemon, jasmine, lily of the valley, guava, musk, cedar and praline.

Miss Sixty Summer Collection 2008 will be available in 30 ml Eau de Toilette. (via cosmoty.de)

also, the juice is boring. you'd think a fashion designer with such an interesting aesthetic would have come up with something quirkier and maybe even darker/gothic-smelling...

All the Dolly Girl bottles are horrible, but this new one is the worst by far.

In fact, come to think of it, Anna Sui's bottles are pretty uniformly awful, except for the first one (that amethyst glass wrapped in gothic lace, so pretty) and Flight of Fancy, which is a decent pastiche of some fan-topped Lalique bottles.

Djedi is an old Guerlain fragrance of such uncommon gravity that the notion of it being in a goofy little bobble-head bottle is........well, it just isn't imaginable! For more info on Djedi, Google "Djedi" + "Guerlain" - there are reviews of it out there. It is said that Vero Kern's Onda closely resembles it - haven't sniffed the Onda yet so I couldn't say....

They reissued Djedi a few years ago but I think it's again discontinued. Bottles go for ridiculous sums. I'm not quite up to the fragrance myself, though I love most of the old Guerlains. Hope you're having a great weekend. I spent my Saturday washing curtains and spraying them with Muguet des Bois. Smells like spring in here, even though it's hailing outside!

How do people respond to you when you wear Fracas for example? I mean that is also a heavyweight from before.

Today it is a lovely early spring day and my Hb and I go to a terrace overlooking Prague, to see if we can have lunch with a good glass of wine outside again.

Good girl, washing your curtains...you have spring in your system..your house must smell wonderfull now with Muguet du Bois!!

Fracas is one of those fragrances that is a stunner. People either love it or they hate it. Most people seem to like it on me, but I layer it and wear it very sparingly. The sillage is a beast! I was holding a baby whilst wearing Fracas and he smelled of it for the rest of the day!

Your day sounds like a lovely one. We're in the midst of storms and very unstable weather here - fighting the 'wet dog' smell. Two wet Rottweilers........
