Scoop NYC for Women & Kids, Creed Virgin Island Water ~ new fragrances

Scoop NYC Kids fragrance Trendy boutique chain Scoop NYC has launched two new fragrances: Scoop NYC for women and Scoop Kids (shown):

Scoop for women balances a floral bouquet of pear blossom and tangerine zest with notes of white peony, jasmine, and pink freesia. It is finished with a subtle musk-orris bottom note...Scoop Kids mixes a fresh strawberry top note with touches of pear, berry, peach, and green leafy nuances. The bottom note is a floral blend of jasmine and rose.

At the moment, there is a free sample offer on the Scoop NYC website. Both fragrances were created by Becker Eshaya Inc, makers of Becker.Eshaya Be. (via yahoo)

Creed Virgin Island Water Creed will launch Virgin Island Water, a unisex fragrance, next March: "The fragrance combines white bergamot, Jamaican lime, Sicilian mandarin, Indian jasmine and Tonkin musk to create a crisp citrus scent." (via cosmeticnews)

Update: Creed Virgin Island Water "captures the tropical essence carried in the trade winds of Sir Francis Drake Channel", and the Eau de Parfum will be available in 30, 75, 120 and 250 ml. (via Women's Wear Daily)

I hope this new citrus lasts longer than their trio of Neroli Sauvage, Zeste Mandarine Pamplemousse and Citrus Bigarade.

"Virgin Waters"....sounds kinky, not sure if men will want to buy/wear it...

None of the Creed citrus-y things really work for me, and didn't like Love in White, so guessing this won't be my cup of tea. But I hear LiW sold well, so this one may well do the same :-)

The only thing I know about Creed sales is that Green Irish Tweed is their best selling fragrance.

The best Creed citrus is their little talked about Bois De Cedrat, which came out in 1875. Very good longevity, and it smells stunning - surprisingly contemporary too, considering its over a 100 years old. I would love to get a bottle but darn its so expensive.

I have heard Love in White is a best seller, too. I'm so disappointed in Creed with this latest fragrance. Creed has an aloofness in attitude to fragrance that just doesn't seem right with Virgin Island Water. I feel like they *tried* to create a fragrance that would appeal to the masses. My favorites are Fantasia de Fleurs and Springflower.

...I think you should never judge a perfume by all the blablas you read in magazines or descriptions of ingredients... here I didn't read a single time about coconut! ...virgin island water is a very simple coconut scent! thats it! nothing more... of course at the beginning it's mixed with citrus (grapefruit) ... but after a few minutes it's only a very nice and new done coconut scent... nothing more! ...just like those wonderful oldfashioned sun oil smells from the past( german sun oils did smell like that in the 80s)
